About the Saint
The Story of Saint Bajoush the Martyr (Intercessor of the Distressed)
The Arabic inscription at the bottom reads: "الشهيد باجوش شفيع الضيقات" (The Martyr Bajoush, Intercessor of the Distressed).
A wealthy and deeply charitable 4th-century Egyptian believer, Saint Bajoush gave away his silver and gold to serve the poor. After being called by the Archangel Michael to bear witness to Christ, he fearlessly endured severe trials under the governor Arianus, leading countless witnesses to the faith before receiving his crown of martyrdom. Today, he is widely loved as a powerful patron who swiftly answers prayers to break through heavy worries, complicated problems, and seasons of deep hardship.
