About the Saint
The Story of Saint Moses the Black (the Strong)
Once a fierce 4th-century Egyptian bandit leader feared for his violence, Saint Moses experienced a radical transformation after encountering the unconditional love of desert monks. Embracing a life of intense prayer, deep humility, and absolute non-violence, the former outlaw became a legendary Desert Father and a powerful patron of lifelong repentance.
